Almost Legal: Shannon & Stuart {Engaged!}

Nothing will come between these two lawyers! -Well except maybe their opposing rival alma maters, but besides that they are perfect for eachother!!

Celebrating a late summer wedding these two wanted to capture the things that they love most- so we covered all the bases from the courthouse to the seaside! Enjoy this wonderful couple and all the fun we had…photo shoots make for an awesome date night! {Note to brides: always entice your groom with steak and drinks to follow a successful engagement shoot!!} Lol!

Tracy & Ryan….I Love and then some!! {E-session}

I am totally blogging backwards on this one! This spring has been crazy busy with mommies, newborns, and little ones in the studio, so I am just now getting Tracy and Ryan’s engagment shoot on the blog!:)

Tracy and Ryan have a beautiful history together, and they have four living testaments to their love and devotion to eachother! So we definitely had to make sure that we incorporated the whole family into their wedding experience from start to finish!

Enjoy this beautiful couple and amazing family…the wedding is getting ready to hit the blog next!!

Chris & Celeste {Married!}

Married at the historic Sacred Heart Church in downtown Corpus Christi, Celeste & Chris celebrated an amazing day among family and friends. The reception was held at the Courtyard At Gaslight Square- Corpus Christi’s romantic gem! An evening of laughter, dancing, live music {even a song sung by the bride to her groom!} and dare I mention it: BACON flavored cupcakes with bacon sprinkles for the groom’s cake! So many personal touches at this wedding, which celebrated the creative streak shared by this couple- including a guest thumbprint tree! It was wonderful to share in Celeste & Chris’s most amazing day- the beginning of so much to come for this great couple!

Kaylee {Bridals}

Kaylee jumped every imaginable hurdle to finally get to this bridal session a week before her wedding- from rain-outs to family crisis, we bumped up the date 3x, but we persevered and I am grateful for her calm patience and trust!! All I can say of the session itself is WOW!! Everything turned out amazing and since we share the same vintage couture loves, the session styling and location plans turned out to be one of my all time faves. Gorgeous hair and makeup provided in studio by Josh Salinas of Josh & Co. played up the vintage styling. Little details like the “I Do” crystals under her shoes and a last minute decision to rob our studio manichan of a vintage red hat added just the right touch of whimsy and a unique pop.

Our careful shooting plan started at Heritage Park, followed by a fabulous grassy field and culminated in a roadside wildflower patch (which was mowed the next day!!!). Proof that an extravagant location is not necessary to truly create something stunning! Look for her wedding on the blog soon- for now enjoy these gorgeous bridals!

Philip & Vanessa {Married} 02.25.12

Vanessa {Bridals}

Vanessa is one of a kind- vivacious, bubbly and with red hair to match her bold personality!! We have been working together for a year and I had the joy of sharing in her wedding day moments as she became Mrs. Philip Nisbet this past Saturday- Feb. 25th.

It was during our very first consult over a year ago that Vanessa was explaining her wedding color scheme of pink and chocolate that I let slip a little smidge of fun: “why don’t you dye your petticoat pink”. Now I saw this in a bridal mag about 5 years ago and have been ever since hoping I could sweet talk a bride into adding a splash of color under her white gown. And Vanessa was the first bride who didn’t look at me like I had two heads!:) Haha….it was the beginning of a beautiful relationship!! Ya’ll know I LOVE a bride who can bring creativity and something “new”. She didn’t disapoint either!! Her dressmaker custom designed a new pink tulle crinoline that was a gorgeous rosy pink and a fun twist on tradition!!

Vanessa also had her heart set since day 1 of doing her bridal portraits in historic Goliad, TX at Presidio La Bahia. It all came together beautifully and we had such a blast- and we could’t have asked for a more perfect day!!

Congratulations Vanessa & Philip!! Enjoy a sneak peek at these gorgeous bridal portraits!

Celeste {Bridals}

Celeste is a super creative bride with a backround in graphic arts, so we knew we wanted to make the most of her bold beauty and daring spirit by shooting her bridal portraits in a truly unique location! I have had my eye on the Estelle Stair Gallery in Rockport, TX since it opened a year ago. Its a haven for those who love ecclectic art! The Estelle Stair Gallery is truly a historic treasure, and the most amazing setting for portraiture! We are so thankful to gallery owner Lisa Baer-Frederick, for allowing us the priviledge of shooting in such an amazing and inspiring place!

We spent the second half of our shoot on the historic Fulton Mansion property- another of my all time favorite portrait locations- pristine and bold all in one!

Enjoy these portraits and congratulations to Celeste and Chris who were married this past Saturday February 18th!!

Kelsey {Bridals}

Now that she’s a newleywed its time for me to show off Kelsey’s incredibly beautiful beachy bridal session!! Yes we lugged that chair out from the studio, along with a ton of fun little accessories that allowed Kelsey to change up her looks and keep the whole session vibrant and fresh!

Russell & Kelsey {Married} 11.19.11

Russell & Kelsey are a dynamic & creative pair who jumped headfirst into planning a DIY wedding! Their wedding ceremony was held at St. Phillips Catholic Church, and reception at the beautiful Solomon Ortiz Center. Russell is a graphic designer {who is also the genius behind our Dulce & Bellezza Studio logo!} and through his talents personalized every aspect of the wedding from all of the save the dates, invites, memory books, and even a super creative “Up” {Disney/Pixar Movie} inspired guest sign-in art piece, just to name a few. Only at a graphic designer’s wedding would one find the UBER COOL “wedding mad libs” interactive cards on the guests tables….which turned out to be quite hilarious, especially once the champagne kicked in:) Kelsey, a nurse, added her magic touch to the fine details that transformed the Ortiz Center into a beautiful red & white reception venue complete with elegant pearl accents! They even incorporated their Czech & Polish heritages into the reception, which you may notice included a giant spread of kolaches in lieu of a groom’s cake, and Kelsey’s side of the collected a soup-pot full of cash for the couple as they performed the musically accompanied Dicha! Dicha! (prounounced die-cha) which is a Polish wedding custom.

Kelsey & Russell are a fun loving couple- so it was no surprise that their wedding party was full of characters!! Which for me is always a blast…big personlaties LOVE the camera:) So this vivacious group made for some pretty FUNTASTIC moments, especially during the post-ceremony portrait session which was full of fun and props….this awesome group rocked all of our crazy portrait ideas, all amidst 40mph gusting winds!!!

This group partied like crazy from Grand March until the kazoos came out to herald a loud and boisterous sendoff for the newleyweds!
Congratulations Kelsey & Russell!
