It was bound to happen….
Awh…okay….so my ‘07 & ‘08 brides have gotten a chance to enjoy the vibrant and helpful role my assitant and best friend April brought to each wedding. Filling in as second shooter and my second brain, she has played a huge role in the photographic success of many a wedding day. But now its HER TURN. And its all my fault:) Being the nice gal that I am, I wanted her to find love and introduced her to a friend- Nick. Turns out they were mean to be…and they wasted no time in getting there. Nick popped the question on November 7th….and that gave them a grand total of 70-something days to plan a wedding….the date is set for January 24th, 2009. I am not sure how I good the pics will be from the wedding, since it is hard to shoot through a flood of tears, but at least I tried to make up for it by in advance by giving them a fun and romantic e-session shot yesterday downtown and at the Lex.
Unfortunately (for ME) Nick is a Navy pilot and his wings will not be clipped….so that means April will be relocating to Virginia within a few short weeks of the wedding. (I have made her promise to book me a VA wedding and we can shoot again togther….and then Hawaii too…that is next on their list:)
Anyway, you’d think this would be my one chance to really boss a couple around…but no, April (as usual) was in total control and worked each shot perfectly- changing her poses every few frames and workin her man like a model. LOVE IT! …..And ladies…take note: wardrobe!!!!! Comfortable, BRIGHT, COLORFUL, simple…no major distracting patterns, AND a good mix of dressy and casual to suit (or expertly clash) with each location. And kudos go to Nick too….not a single complaint from this guy as he changed outfits three x….and no pose request was too crazy for him:) Lol….what a FUN shoot!!! You guys are great!
Congrats April & Nick……can’t wait for the big day:)
