Downtown San Antonio- romance around every corner….at least the ones Liza & Armando walked! We put a few miles on our boots but all in all I think even Liza’s sore feet would agree that it was well worth it!! Beautiful day….beautiful romance!
I’m BACK. My first real shoot post baby and these two set my camera on fire! Here is a glimpse of their hot session shot in two fabulously simple locations- the CC Cathedral has a whole landscape of architectural backdrops, and from there with one quick wardrobe change Connie & David transformed not only their look but an entire 10 acres!
You will never drive by a grassy field and look at it the same way again!!!
Amidst 2009’s busy wedding season,many of you know I had my little “hidden” assistant tagging along the whole time! After 9 months of taking full advantage of the wedding scene, from enjoying the blaring reception dance music to the wedding cake leftovers, this little man has finally made his appearance into the world!
It is with great joy that we announce the birth of our sweet baby James Caden! Born September 10th, 2009 he weighed 6.13lbs….and he’s perfect in every way. Thank you for sharing in our joy and for being the best clients a pregnant photographer could ask for!
I am not sure if he will want to follow in his mommy’s photographer footsteps, but for now he does make the best MODEL a momma with a camera (or four) could ever ask for!
Our family has grown by two feet! Baby James is welcomed by his big brothers Donovan & Avery!

This couple is from Minnesota….don’t tell me all of the fun creative genes are in the midwest!!! I have a lot of spring weddings that would be a perfect fit for this type of “grand entrance!”. Hint hint:)
{ THE UPDATED VERSION. I think we have covered all of our bases on the basic genres of maternity photography that exist in my head 
Couture, Classic B&W & finally this weekend we crossed off the Sweet Romantic version in a field of sunflowers:) Joey did great behind the camera, albeit he takes it WAY too seriously while totally lacking all directorial skills:) Give the man a paintbrush he thinks he’s Picasso, give the man a camera and he thinks he’s Yervant. But we had fun with it! And I confess….this is nothing to do with vanity or even so thoroughly documenting this beautiful stage in our lives, but very much a way for me to scratch that artist’s itch to play with these different looks and feels of the same subject & subject matter. Like the college experiments I never got a chance to enjoy:) Good thing I’m a photographer and not a tattoo artist….I would not have an inch of skin left uncovered:) LOL.
……..All I can say is just you wait until this little boy is BORN! Poor little guy has no idea he is about to be the most photographed child ever created:) Anyhoo…starting with the newest first, here are the latest editions. }
#3- (Series)…..these are the latest …the soft sweet romantic side of expecting. Location was a random patch of sunflower “weeds” just off Staples & Yorktown….right inbetween a housing division and a storage unit…proof it doesn’t take much to get a cool backdrop:)

And HOT momma…..being pregnant in South Texas is only made possible by the blessing of air conditioning….without it I would be migrating somewhere COOLER!!!
So maternity leave (or the closest thing to it!) is finally upon me! Time to enjoy the last 8 weeks of pregnancy and get ready for this baby! No more long days on my feet shooting weddings, all I have left is a load of design work but that is easy peasy from the comfort of my computer chair:)
But for those of you who have been wondering what I am cooking up, ITS A BOY….and we can’t wait to meet him! Of course like everything else I have to take the opportunity to document this momentous phase in my life….there are certainly more shoots to come as I take the opportunity to employ the realms of creativity on my own guinea pig self, but for now here were the first attempts at my own maternity portraiture! Hubby and I have a date this weekend to do the outdoor ones I am envisioning….we will see what comes from that:)
#1- Self-portrait….and an attempt at a more couture look . I don’t have the makeup/hair or set as extreme as I REALLY want for the couture look…but this is a start:) Let me just say SELF portraits while pregnant are no easy task 
2- My hubby’s contribution! He’s not too bad behind the camera afterall:)
