Now that she’s a newleywed its time for me to show off Kelsey’s incredibly beautiful beachy bridal session!! Yes we lugged that chair out from the studio, along with a ton of fun little accessories that allowed Kelsey to change up her looks and keep the whole session vibrant and fresh!
Russell & Kelsey {Married} 11.19.11
Russell & Kelsey are a dynamic & creative pair who jumped headfirst into planning a DIY wedding! Their wedding ceremony was held at St. Phillips Catholic Church, and reception at the beautiful Solomon Ortiz Center. Russell is a graphic designer {who is also the genius behind our Dulce & Bellezza Studio logo!} and through his talents personalized every aspect of the wedding from all of the save the dates, invites, memory books, and even a super creative “Up” {Disney/Pixar Movie} inspired guest sign-in art piece, just to name a few. Only at a graphic designer’s wedding would one find the UBER COOL “wedding mad libs” interactive cards on the guests tables….which turned out to be quite hilarious, especially once the champagne kicked in:) Kelsey, a nurse, added her magic touch to the fine details that transformed the Ortiz Center into a beautiful red & white reception venue complete with elegant pearl accents! They even incorporated their Czech & Polish heritages into the reception, which you may notice included a giant spread of kolaches in lieu of a groom’s cake, and Kelsey’s side of the collected a soup-pot full of cash for the couple as they performed the musically accompanied Dicha! Dicha! (prounounced die-cha) which is a Polish wedding custom.
Kelsey & Russell are a fun loving couple- so it was no surprise that their wedding party was full of characters!! Which for me is always a blast…big personlaties LOVE the camera:) So this vivacious group made for some pretty FUNTASTIC moments, especially during the post-ceremony portrait session which was full of fun and props….this awesome group rocked all of our crazy portrait ideas, all amidst 40mph gusting winds!!!
This group partied like crazy from Grand March until the kazoos came out to herald a loud and boisterous sendoff for the newleyweds!
Congratulations Kelsey & Russell!
Breanna & JT {Married} 11.11.11
BreAnna & JT have a beautiful 11 year history together, so for them the perfect date to finally live their dream wedding was 11.11.11 {this also turned out to be the most requested date of 2011}!!
The celebrated with their 3 beautiful children and adoring friends and family at the Solomon Ortiz Center. Their original plans for an outdoor ceremony were usurped by the cold weather but the Ortiz Center staff magically accomodated the indoor ceremony as only they can! The entire event was amazing from start to finish- from the emotional heartfelt original vows to the red and white decor and rockin dance party! Turned out to be a night these two will never forget, and the crowning glory to all their accomplishments thus far. Their chemistry is truly amazing and I wish BreAnna & JT a lifetime of happiness!!
Enjoy!
Ryan & Erica {Married} 11.05.11
Erica is a bride who holds a special place in my heart! In case you don’t see the resemblance, we are cousins! She and I grew up like sisters in Illinois, and since both of us have since found love in Texas, it was an absolute honor to share in her wedding day and experience the intimate moments of the day from behind the camera. Erica & Ryan celebrated their nuptials in Driftwood Springs- a short drive outside of Austin, TX. They were wed at St. Martin DePorres Catholic Church, and from there parted ways with their guests- sending the guests off to the Salt Lick Pavillion {on a chartered school bus!} while the wedding party caravaned across the countryside to enjoy some creative portrait opportunities! Salt Lick I have discovered does indeed showcase some of the BEST BBQ in Texas, and topping that off with amazing dancing to a live band {while Father of the Bride, Groom and Uncles jumped in to showcase insanse electric guitar solos all night!} – it was an absolute blast!
Congratulations to Erica and Ryan….and only a cousin of mine would PLAN bridal portraits at an antique gas station…..I LOVED it!!:)
John & Tabitha {Married} 10.21.11
So my New Year’s resolution is to catch up on a long list of fall/winter weddings that have yet to make it on the blog! Kicking off this series is the fabulous Friday night nupitals of Tabitha & John. This wedding has been a long time coming for the two of them and the mood was festive as family & friends gathered to celebrate their love story! These two tied the knot at the Courtyard at Gaslight Square which was absolutely gorgeous under the autumn sky! Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Newcomer!!
Ryan & Shelly {Married} 10.15.11
Shelly & Ryan were married at the beautiful Ranch at San Patricio on a day that couldn’t have been more sublime! A pristine fall day in Texas!! I had been awaiting this new venue and was absolutely inspired by every square inch of the ample acreage and rustic feel. Shelly & Ryan chose a very special “first look,” meeting eachother just before the ceremony so that they could both soak up the full emotion of their first chance to see eachother- it was a truly beautiful and emotional moment. Enjoy the gallery….I am trying to incorporate this view as a new way to show off a wedding more fully…so many images, so little time, but this gives the blog a new breath of fresh air!!;)
Congratulations Ryan & Shelly!!
Michelle H. {Bridals}
She is now a married woman so I can safely show these amazing shots off:)
Michelle turned out some incredibly beautiful bridal portraits! We shot at the Art Center downtown- a location that I frequent for portraits, but LOVE for the simple fact that each time it pushes me to get something totally different from the same location.
Michelle added a fabulous chunky multi-string pearl neclace and some gorgeous red heels to kick up the fun and artsy side of the shoot. Bridals are a chance to step outside of the traditional and play with accessories even if they won’t be a part of the wedding day, and we took full advantage of that!! Love them!!! ENJOY!
Breana & JT
These two have insanely amazing chemistry and it shows!! LOVED every second of this session and can’t wait for the wedding day….right around the corner on 11.11.11!! Congratulations Breana & JT!!
